City adds benches where DIY ones appeared in Ukrainian Village
About a month after a neighborhood group put homemade benches at two Ukrainian Village CTA bus stops, the city has installed official “ad benches” at both spots, Block Club Chicago reports. CDOT said it first checked that there was enough room to meet ADA requirements.
The Northwest Neighborhood Alliance called it a big success. The group plans to build and place more benches at bus stops without seating across West Town and Humboldt Park.
