Winless Blackhawks host Blues in Kane’s home return Tuesday

Chicago (0–3) opens the United Center season against St. Louis (1–1), which is coming off a 6–1 loss in Colorado.

The Blackhawks play their home opener Tuesday night against the Blues at the United Center, CBS Sports / Field Level Media reports. Chicago is 0–3 after Saturday’s 4–3 loss at Buffalo, where it let a 2–0 lead slip away. St. Louis is 1–1 after a 4–0 win at Dallas and a 6–1 loss at Colorado.

The game marks Patrick Kane’s first home game back with Chicago after he signed a two-year deal this offseason. Blues coach Jim Montgomery said his team needs more consistency. Forward Alexey Toropchenko (upper body) is out for St. Louis.
